CuZn5 — low-zinc brass (gilding metal). Gold colour, excellent formability and brazeability. For coins, medals, jewellery findings, bullet jackets and decorative hardware.
CuZn5 per EN 12163 (CW500L). 5% Zn gives a warm gold colour similar to 18-carat gold. Outstanding cold formability — can be drawn, rolled and spun to very complex shapes. Good brazeability. Excellent atmospheric corrosion resistance. Standard for coin blanks, medals, military button badges, decorative hardware, luxury packaging and bullet jacket/cup applications.
