Grade 22 / 2.25Cr1Mo — creep-resistant Cr-Mo steel for service to 600 C. For hydrocracker reactors, reformer piping and high-temperature pressure vessels in petrochemical and power industries.
10CrMo9-10 (EN 1.7380 / ASTM Grade 22 / 2.25Cr1Mo) per EN 10028-2 and ASTM A387. Higher Cr (2-2.5%) + Mo (0.9-1.1%) vs 13CrMo4-5 gives better creep resistance to 600 C and outstanding resistance to hydrogen embrittlement at high temperature (Nelson curves). Standard for hydrocracker and hydrotreater reactor vessels, catalytic reformer piping and HRSG (heat recovery steam generator) headers.
