Description

58CrV4 per EN 10089 (1.8161). Higher C than 51CrV4 gives greater hardness after quenching and better fatigue strength in heavy cross-sections. V addition refines grain and improves fatigue resistance. Q+T achieves Rm 1800-2000 MPa (spring temper). Standard for heavy automotive stabiliser bars, large coil springs and torsion bars for trucks and off-highway vehicles.
