Description

C30 per EN 10083-2 (1.0528). Carbon 0.27-0.34% — lower than C35, giving better weldability (CE approx 0.50). Normalized Rm ~560 MPa. Q+T gives Rm 600-750 MPa for thin sections. Used for welded machine frames, shafts of moderate loading and case-hardening base (surface only, low core strength).
