Description

C50 per EN 10083-2 (1.0540). Carbon 0.47-0.55% — between C45 and C55. Q+T to 800-1000 MPa for sections up to 25 mm. Better fatigue properties than C45, better toughness than C60. Used for moderately loaded crankshafts, camshaft blanks, medium-strength springs and agricultural cultivator tines.
