Bi (0.20-0.60%) + Pb (0.20-0.60%) addition creates chip-breaking inclusions giving machinability rating 500%+ vs B1112 reference steel -- highest of all aluminium alloys. Standard for high-volume CNC and automatic lathe production of hydraulic fittings, valve bodies, camera bodies and optical instrument components.
