5456-H116 -- highest-strength standard marine Al alloy. Rm 285-345 MPa, excellent seawater corrosion resistance. For ship hulls, deck structures and offshore platforms requiring more strength than 5083 without heat treatment.
EN AW-5456 (AlMg5Mn) per EN 573-3. Mg (4.7-5.5%) gives Rm 285-345 MPa H116 -- the highest standard 5xxx strength for marine structural use. H116 temper (strain-hardened, stabilised for marine service per ASTM B928). Standard for high-speed ferry hulls, patrol vessel hull plating and offshore topsides structural members.
