60CrMo3-3 -- Cr-Mo valve spring steel. High fatigue resistance to 250 C service. For engine valve springs requiring elevated-temperature strength retention beyond 51CrV4 or 50CrV4 capability.
60CrMo3-3 (EN 1.7139 nearest / Cr-Mo spring family) per EN 10089. Mo addition to Cr spring steel gives better strength retention at 200-250 C -- important for engine valve springs running in hot cylinder heads. Standard for high-performance internal combustion engine valve springs where 51CrV4 loses strength at operating temperature.
