65Mn — low-cost Mn spring steel. Good elasticity and fatigue resistance for cold-formed springs. Standard for flat springs, clock springs, brush springs and low-cost coil springs.
65Mn per GB/T 1222 (China standard) / similar to European C68 steels. High Mn (0.90-1.20%) improves hardenability over plain C65 while keeping cost low. Water or oil quenching gives HRC 52-60. Standard for clock springs, flat brush springs, snap rings, circlips, textile machinery springs and any large-volume low-cost spring application.
